Advantrix Corp is committed to facilitating our customers' full compliance with HIPAA ( Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulation. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 was enacted as part of a broad Congressional attempt at incremental health reform. This law requires the United States Department of Health & Human Services (DHSS) to develop standards and requirements for maintenance & transmission of health information that identifies individual patients.

These standards are designed to:

» Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare system by standardizing Electronic Data Interchange for specified administrative and financial transactions.

» Protecting the security and confidentiality of electronic health information.

HIPAA is an enterprise-wide issue-not an information technology issue. There are legal, regulatory, process, security and technology aspects to each proposed rule that must be carefully evaluated.

On its' part Advantrix Corp is dedicated to assisting our customers achieve HIPAA compliance with the Transaction and Code sets and the Privacy HIPAA regulations.Our software and clearing House is completely HIPAA compliant.

As a medical billing service we are committed on achieving full HIPAA Compliance Certification and progressively moving towards it. We are abreast with the ever changing security technology and its ramifications on electronic transmissions. Our efforts are centered on maintaining and guarding data integrity, confidentiality and availability. Our upcoming Web Based Application is being designed under 100% HIPAA mandated requirements of security, encryption and EDI mappings.
