Who is Advantrix

Advantrix was founded by Shalini and Rohit Maharishi in 2003 after they realized that medical billing was a complicated, employee intensive problem that was slowing practices down and costing them money. Specializing in Medical Billing Reimbursement Management Solutions and Allied Services, Advantrix offers a host of services covering a wide array of medical billing; processing, denial management, aging cleanup, collections, data management, analytics and technology services (see offerings).

Why use an electronic biller

The medical billing process is an interaction between a health care provider and the insurance company (payer). The entirety of this interaction is known as the billing cycle sometimes referred to as Revenue Cycle Management.This can take anywhere from several days to several months to complete, and require several interactions before a resolution is reached.The relationship between a health care provider and insurance company is that of a vendor to a subcontractor.Health care providers are contracted with insurance companies to provide health care services.The interaction begins with the office visit: a physician or their staff will typically create or update the patient’s medical record.

After the doctor sees the patient, the diagnosis and procedure codes are assigned. These codes assist the insurance company in determining coverage and medical necessity of the services. Once the procedure and diagnosis codes are determined, the medical biller will transmit the claim to the insurance company (payer).

How does billing work

Advantrix’s billing workflow is a fully integrated and managed service that covers the entire billing cycle from denial management, re-submission, coding consult, patient COB, to patient collections and any other related billing service.

How does the scheduler work

The Advantrix Scheduler helps you match your billing with the patient your office sees. Integrating with your EHR or as a useful standalone feature, the Scheduler ensures that your billing matches up with the appointments seen.

How do you deal with rejected claims?

With Advantrix, your reimbursement is our only focus. Each of your rejected claims gets our utmost attention until it is resolved and you are reimbursed. When a claim is rejected, we look at the error,fix it and then resubmit the claim. To ensure that rejected claims are minimized, we audit the rejected claims and adjust submissions so that claims are accepted the first time.

Do I need an Internet connection

Advantrix is a web-based EHR so you will need an internet connection to use our services.

What are the hardware requirements?

Advantrix is browser-based,so you can use it with any internet-enabled computer. There are no other specific hardware requirements.

What is Meaningful Use?

Meaningful Use is a standard set by the US government that provides cash incentives for practices that use certified EHR technology by meeting certain measurement thresholds. Using Advantrix as a biller will help your practice achieve Meaningful Use.

Do I need to maintain paper records?

With a qualified biller you can eliminate the hassle of paper records. Advantrix keeps all of your records electronically and all of your data is safe. You can even quickly enter your old paper records in order to bring your system up to date with your current records.
